Betting On Your Life At William Hill

Jon Matthews, who was diagnosed with terminal cancer, is collecting £5,000 from William Hill after beating the odds of surviving. Jon already received £5,000 from William Hill on June 1 2008 after placing a bet that he would still be alive by that date.

If he survives until June 2010, Mr. Matthews will get another £10,000 after placing one more bet on his destiny.

“Never in 30 years in the business have I been so pleased to pay a winning client £10,000, with, I trust, a further £10,000 to come next year,” William Hill spokesman Graham Sharpe said.
