Bwin has started negotiations with Real Madrid to renew its sponsorship deal. The current deal is expiring next year and worth €45m over three years. German newspaper Sueddeutsche Zeitung has reported the new sponsorship deal would cost Bwin €17m a year. It is also rumoured that Bwin would pay a performance-related bonus of €3m.

Bwin spokesperson Kevin O’Neal said: “We cannot comment on it because the contract is not yet signed. We cannot comment where the process is not yet complete.” A spokesperson for Real Madrid also declined to comment.
