  • Dutch Government Blocks Betfair Operations

    Betfair filed a complaint to EU over Dutch government intentions to block company’s operations within the country. The government sent a letter to local banks asking to block any payments intended for betting. These moves are clearly in breach with EU internal market rules.

    Betfair stated that such actions unfairly protect local gaming companies and breaks EU rules on the free movement of services and capital.

  • Betfair Partners With English Cricket

    Betfair, biggest online betting exchange, will be sponsoring the England And Wales Cricket Board and prolonged a similar agreement with with The Test Match Grounds. These agreements will allow Betfair to use the ECB logo on perimeter boards, tri-vision sight and replay screens along with product sampling and promotional activities at the eight test match grounds across England.

    Also, Betfair will continue as the sponsor of the Betfair Blimp, which will be providing aerial footage to Sky Sports during the Ashes.
