    • ]]>     Some of top online bookmakers suspended betting on a tennis match involving Spain’s Oscar Hernandez and Austria’s Daniel Köllerer on Monday.

    Both players were priced as 5-6 joint-favourites, but bookmakers saw a surge of money just before the start for Hernandez that pushed his price in to 1-5 favourite. Hernandez won 6-3, 6-2.

    William Hill and Ladbrokes stopped trading this match after they noticed “unusual” money. Unibet and Expekt mentioned they stopped taking bets before or early in the match. Betfair noticed the same trend, but did not stop trading.

    The tennis authorities have already launched an investigation into this match.

Its rivals Bwin and Betclick already made it clear that they will acquiring a license despite restrictive regulations.

    Unibet states that French regulations would force them to change their model of business, strategy and products.

    However, keeping in mind that Unibet signed number of sponsorship deals in France recently, it seems that it will obtain French lisence. Possibly, the company is trying to bring the issue up to public debate in attempt to force policy revision.
